2023 Men's League Rules Sheet
1. All USGA Rules apply except where local rules are stipulated
2. Local Rule: The ball shall be played as it lies in the best ball and chapman formats. You can improve your lie everywhere one grip
length not nearer the hole, through the green in the scramble format. (Teams may not improve their position when improving their
lie.) If the ball lies in the rough, fringe or a hazard, you must remain in that condition.
3. Formats:
Scramble: Both players hit tee shots, then pick the best one and both players will hit from that position. Again, pick the
best shot and continue this method of play until the ball has been holed out. The team with the low net score per hole wins
the match. The low net score is determined by subtracting the gross score minus the team's handicaps.
Best Ball: Both players play their own ball until it is holed out. Then you count the best score of the two.
Modified Chapman: Both players tee off, then go to their partners tee shot and both players hit again. After both
players have hit twice, one ball must be taken out of play. The partners will then play an alternate shot until the
ball is holed
4. Tees: Blue Tees: 64 years of age and younger.
White Tees: 65 years of age and older.
Red Tees: 75 years of age and older.
Handicap adjustments will be made based on the tees you play. We will use the USGA’s version of the Course Handicap calculator to determine your handicap
5. Subs: Only 1 sub is allowed per team per week. If neither league player can be there, you will forfeit your match for the week.
